Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion

Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion has been announced. It will be an upgraded version of the existing Tekken 6 game and will be released in arcades December of this year. It will be officially shown at the upcoming Amusement Show on September 20th in Tokyo, Japan.

A few months ago there was word that a Tekken 6 upgrade similar to what we saw in Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection with new customize items and maybe even more characters would follow the release of Tekken 6. We're not sure if this Bloodline Rebellion is what they meant and we wont know anything new until the next three weeks. But its a little odd to have such a huge update for an arcade release when a home version of the game hasn't even been announced yet and from the looks of it we wont be seeing any form of Tekken 6 on the PS3 until Q1 2009.

Lets hope its sooner then later.....

Street Fighter IV Coming March 09

"Capcom is releasing Street Fighter IV in 2009, which is the 20th anniversary of the game. The film and game release dates will coincide, but I'm not certain how much of the game will coincide with the story because ours is a very partitioned off origin story of the Street Fighter universe," Aiello told GameDaily BIZ.

Its safe to say that the movie will have nothing to do with the game, both seem to take place during different times and Ryu, Ken,Akuma and a few other Street Fighter IV characters will not make an appearance in the film. In other news the consumer console version of SFIV will be shown at the Leipzig Games Convention.
